Zoom accounts now available at TWU

Zoom, like Google Meet or Skype for Business, is a solution for video conferencing, online meetings, screen share, and chat. Zoom accounts are now available for Texas Woman’s instructors as well as other individuals. Zoom is integrated with Canvas and instructor use is supported by Teaching and Learning with Technology.

Where can I learn more?

Learn about the instructional use of Zoom in Knowledge Base or sign up to attend a Zoom Into Canvas session. Contact your instructional designer for support with Zoom in Canvas.

Who has a license?

Anyone who is listed as a fall 2020 instructor of record

  • Anyone who is a dean, chair or vice provost
  • Licenses also will be assigned to staff who have requested a license through the ITS ticketing system
  • Any academic departments that should be given priority for licenses should submit a ticket to the TWU Technology Service Desk

IT Solutions will continue to check daily for any new instructors of record that are added and assign licenses to them as well.

Everyone who is assigned a license will receive an email asking them to set up their Zoom account. If you already have an account, it will merge your current account into the new TWU Education account. You should use your TWU email and password to log in.

Any TWU employees or departments that need licenses should complete this form.
