Texas Woman’s University must report employee completion of information security training to the Texas Department of Information Resources each year by August 31. Please do your part in supporting university compliance by completing your assigned training on time.

Supervisors are expected to ensure that team members fulfill this annual requirement.

Under Texas Government Code §2054.5191, any employee who uses computing resources for at least 25% of their job duties is required to complete annual information security training. This requirement also extends to contractors. Additionally, this training is mandated by TWU URP 04.725: Information Security and Privacy Awareness and Training.

If you are required to complete the training, it will be automatically assigned to you in Bridge.

This training will help you recognize and respond to cybersecurity threats such as phishing and social engineering, equipping you to better protect both yourself and the university.
