Managing information is a continuous process, and IT Solutions has developed some tools to make this task easier for departments. Review and use these tools to assist with data management, employee onboarding, employee changes, and employee offboarding as relates to technology:
- Department Data Template – Use to track employees, office locations, inventory IDs (aka computer numbers), RingCentral numbers, printers, and whatever else you need to have on hand for contacting and/or requesting support for your employees. (Requires Google login with @twu.edu email and password.)
- New Hire Tech Ticket Form – Use when hiring a new employee to request all the technology and access needs on a single ticket. Note: Some of the access requests can (and should) be completed by the employee or the supervisor.
- New Employee Checklist – List common technology hardware and software access that may be needed. You can customize this list by position so that as employees come and leave, you know what to request to be activated or deactivated. (Requires Google login with @twu.edu email and password.)
- RingCentral ticket form – Use this form to request service for RingCentral or to inform IT Solutions of changes needed, including if numbers should be rerouted/forwarded until a position is filled; if a number is to be maintained in anticipation of employee replacement; if a number can be reassigned elsewhere at TWU; or other information about phone needs.
