She’s a high flyer – on the mat and in the classroom

Brooke Speights has soared during her time at Texas Woman’s. Not only as a high-achieving student but also as a flyer on the STUNT team.

Speights graduated magna cum laude with a BBA in accounting from Texas Woman’s in May 2025. She was inducted into Beta Gamma Sigma, a prestigious business honor society at the Merrilee Alexander Kick College of Business and Entrepreneurship. As a senior on the TWU STUNT team, she was named to the All-Lone Star Conference First Team and the All-Academic Team.

Now, she is returning to Denton as a graduate student to pursue a Master of Science in accountancy. She also added an accounting award to her list of accomplishments.

Speights was one of 47 accounting students from across the state to receive the Accounting Excellence Award from The Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants. The TXCPA presents its Accounting Excellence Award to an outstanding accounting student at Texas colleges and universities participating in the programs of the Accounting Education Foundation.
