TWU celebrated the dedication of the Richard W. Woodcock Archives collection now on permanent display in Woodcock Hall room 207. This remarkable collection, meticulously recreated from Dr. Woodcock’s home office, offers an invaluable glimpse into the life and legacy of a true pioneer in psychology, school psychology, and education.
Woodcock's work was dedicated to creating tools that advanced the assessment of cognitive abilities and achievement, especially for children and adults with learning disabilities or physical impairments that impact learning. He even developed the first machine to translate typed English into braille which you can see on display in the archives.
Daniel C. Miller, PhD, was instrumental in the project coming to fruition. His commitment ensures that Woodcock’s contributions will continue to educate and inspire future generations.
