Cheryl Thaxton (nursing, Dallas) is the 2022 recipient of the Nessa Coyle Palliative Leadership Award, presented by the Hospice and Palliative Nurses Association and the Hospice and Palliative Nurses Foundation.

The award recognizes an individual who has an outstanding, well-established leadership record in the specialty area of hospice or palliative care, and who continues to make a significant contribution to the field. As the award recipient, Thaxton will present a 60-minute leadership lecture at the organization’s 2022 annual assembly.
