Lewis was devoted TWU employee

Longtime Texas Woman’s employee and dedicated staffer Beth Lewis passed away unexpectedly on Aug. 18. Lewis, most recently a special assistant to the vice president for finance and administration, held numerous positions at TWU since 1986.

She began her TWU journey in the Student Life division, where she worked in ID Services, Dining Services and had oversight of the student bookstore. She joined the Finance & Administration division in 2022, forging partnerships across the university divisions.

“Beth’s dedication shaped many of TWU’s most cherished traditions and events,” said Jason Tomlinson, senior vice president for Finance & Administration.

She had key roles in the success of the Class Ring ceremony, Commencement, board of regents meetings, Fall Assembly and other signature experiences.

“Beth leaves behind a legacy of warmth, creativity and determination in service to our campus community. Her bright smile and generous spirit touched countless lives and TWU is better for having known her,” Tomlinson added.

Finance & Administration will be honoring Beth Lewis’ legacy on the Denton campus, and more info will be shared once details are finalized.
