Mahesh S. Raisinghani, PhD, a professor of management information systems in the TWU College of Business, is the recipient of the first-ever ISACA Educational Excellence Award. The award recognizes an educator with inspiring initiatives who has empowered students to pursue careers advancing technology.
ISACA, formerly known as the Information Systems Audit and Control Association, helps business technology professionals and their enterprises around the world realize the positive potential of technology.
The citation on the award — one of the organization’s highest honors — states the award is “For inspirational mentorship of all university students, encouraging more women to pursue technology careers and teaching a thought-provoking curriculum around data privacy, security and technology management.”
“I am honored and humbled by this award,” Raisinghani said. He was nominated by a former student and current officer of the World Affairs Council chapter at TWU, for which he serves as an advisor.
Raisinghani also serves as editor in chief of the International Journal of Web-based Learning and Teaching Technologies and serves on the board of Global IT Management Association. He is a prolific author and editor, and has consulted for a variety of public and private organizations on IT management and applications.
The award will presented this spring in a ceremony to be conducted in a virtual mode.
