Project HELP lauded in diversity magazine article

Project HELP (Hispanic Educators Leading the Profession), funded through a Department of Education grant and led by Teacher Education faculty Sarah McMahan and Rebecca Fredrickson (both Denton) was featured as helping diversify education preparation in an INSIGHT into Diversity article.

The March 16 story, “Education Experts Call on the Government and Colleges to Rectify the Growing Teacher Shortage,” states that the project “has been praised for addressing the workforce shortage while also diversifying teaching staff in a state where more than half of students are Latinx compared with only 26 percent of educators.”
