In the News: Phillips-Cunningham, Cesario, Mollen

Some Texas Woman’s faculty members were sought out by media to comment on the Supreme Court decision overturning Roe v. Wade:

  • Danielle Phillips-Cunningham (Multicultural Women’s and Gender Studies, Denton) was featured in interviews on WFAA, CBS 11, NBC 5, and KRLD Radio. The CBS 11 story was an interview that originally aired in May and provided coverage of the Sarah Weddington Collection. That interview also featured Kimberly Johnson (Library, Denton)
  • Sandra Cesario (Nursing, Houston) was quoted in a June 30 Texas Tribune article, “Texas nurses say ban on abortion is merely the start of the health problems women will face.” The story also was featured on the KERA website.
  • Debra Mollen (Psychology, Denton) was quoted in a WebMD Health News story, “How to Manage Emotions About Roe v. Wade,” published July 7. Mollen responded to questions about the emotions people might be feeling about the overturning of Roe v. Wade.
