The Associated Press story has appeared in more than 50 news outlets across the country, including large outlets such as U.S. News & World Report, the San Francisco Chronicle, the Seattle Post Intelligencer, the Miami Herald, the Houston Chronicle, the Washington Times and the Charlotte Observer. It has appeared in newspapers in Illinois, Idaho, Connecticut, Washington, Michigan, Pennsylvania, Georgia, Florida, California, South Carolina, North Carolina, Kentucky, Mississippi, Kansas and Missouri, as well as in at least a dozen Texas cities, including San Antonio, Fort Worth, Waco, Odessa and Galveston.
