A number of women from TWU history were included in “19 Stories for 100 Years,” a blog post from U.S. Congressman Michael C. Burgess, MD, marking the 100^th anniversary of the ratification of the 19^th Amendment. The post lists 19 women “who have made our community, state, and nation a better place with their drive, courage and compassion.” TWU-affiliated women listed include Caro Crawford Brown, Pauline Beery Mack, Louise Ritter, Mary Eleanor Brackenridge, Ann Williams, Millie Hughes-Fulford and Betty Bohon Alford. Brown also was featured in a Sept. 4 Denton County Office of History and Culture blog post.
