History-making TWU women lauded

A number of women from TWU history were included in “19 Stories for 100 Years,” a blog post from U.S. Congressman Michael C. Burgess, MD, marking the 100th anniversary of the ratification of the 19th Amendment. The post lists 19 women “who have made our community, state, and nation a better place with their drive, courage and compassion.” TWU-affiliated women listed include Caro Crawford Brown, Pauline Beery Mack, Louise Ritter, Mary Eleanor Brackenridge, Ann Williams, Millie Hughes-Fulford and Betty Bohon Alford. Brown also was featured in a Sept. 4 Denton County Office of History and Culture blog post.
