Expect traffic delays during move-in

Move-in for residential housing is scheduled for Aug. 16-17 amid continuing construction on Bell Avenue.

Routes to campus and parking instructions directing students to the periphery of campus have been provided, and check-in has been spread out over two days.

As in the past, USS Movers will assist with moving students into Guinn, Stark and Parliament Village. Move-In will begin at 7 a.m. for Parliament Village and 8 a.m. for Guinn on Aug. 16. Students in Stark and Lowry Woods will start their move-in process on Aug. 17.

“We are excited to welcome students back to campus and want our faculty and staff to be aware that traffic next week could be impacted,” said Jill Eckardt, executive director of University Housing and Dining.

The highest impact day will be Monday as first-year students move into Parliament Village, which is slated to expect more than 800 students. Faculty and staff are encouraged to plan accordingly.

Volunteers are still needed to help with move-in and the opening of fall. Find a slot where you fit in and lend a hand!
