Volunteers needed for move-in, opening of fall

University Housing & Dining needs your help with several Denton campus events designed to kick off the academic year. Scheduled activities include Move-in, Block Party, Student Union Takeover, Silent Disco, and Commuter Welcome Week.

Move-In

Volunteers are needed in various residential locations Monday, Aug. 16 and Tuesday, Aug. 17. Shifts last one hour and 30 minutes, and volunteers may sign up for more than one shift. Instead of an in-person training session, volunteers will receive important information via email the week prior to volunteering.

Commuter Welcome Week

Help staff the “Ask me” station to answer commuting students’ questions during the annual Commuter Welcome Week Aug. 23-26.

Volunteers are needed to welcome commuters, provide parking and classroom directions, and inform commuters of the new parking rules. Volunteers will be placed in one of the busiest lots throughout campus. You’ll learn your placement closer to your volunteer date/time.

Paired with one CARE staff member, volunteers will work one-hour shifts from 8:30-9:30 a.m. or 10:15-11:15 a.m. Sign up for a shift today!
