Talent Initiative

The objective of the Talent Initiative is to create a comprehensive university strategy to attract, acquire, develop, and retain diverse talent necessary for long-term university success. The first phase of the initiative, creating a welcoming environment for new employees, involves the development of a welcome packet for new employees. The packet will include an interactive forms for new hire paperwork and showcase information about programs sponsored by Human Resources, the Office of the Provost, and other departments and divisions; important policies and procedures; and guides to the Denton/Dallas/Houston area.  A “Why Work at Texas Woman’s University” web page is currently available and includes a video about Texas Woman’s, along with additional information related to:

  • The university
  • Benefits
  • Careers
  • Campus maps
  • Pioneer Perks
  • Information about the Denton, Dallas and Houston areas

In addition, the development of a one-stop for HR is underway to direct employees to resources and information essential to their responsibilities. The one-stop will direct employees to institutional resources, policies and procedures, professional development, and updates on Texas Woman’s endeavors. Accomplishments of other objectives of the initiative are in progress and encompass programs that will invest in new and existing employees, remove barriers and expand wellbeing efforts, and celebrate and acknowledge faculty and staff contributions.
