Initiative Highlight: People, Processes & Culture

Texas Woman's has created strategies and success measures to develop a culture of receptive engagement dedicated to positive responsiveness and innovation.

Strategies

  • Incorporate a bottom-up feedback loop through an information hub to foster new and enhanced programs and to improve recruitment and retention strategies.
  • Customize research and pedagogical opportunities to improve participation, collaboration, and production among faculty, staff, students, and off-campus partnerships
  • Address fair and robust compensation for all full-time and part-time employees to ensure we move towards designation as a R2 institution

Success Measures

  • Conduct an assessment of compensation and develop strategies for ensuring fair and robust compensation for all full-time and part-time employees as we move towards designation as a R2 institution
  • Host annual collaborative, intra- and intercampus research gatherings to support innovative research grant applications
  • Create guidelines to improve the efficiency of search and hiring processes and assess the efficacy of search outcomes
  • Develop innovative and flexible hiring packages for new faculty, staff, and administrators
