Texas Woman’s University has finalized a location for the Houston combined May, August and December 2020 drive-thru graduation ceremony, and it has a special TWU connection.

The event celebrating Houston graduates will be at Heavy Construction Systems Specialists (HCSS), a company owned by the late TWU alumna and faculty member Sophie Rydin and her husband, Mike.

The ceremony will take place 1:30-5 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 13, at the company’s headquarters, 13151 West Airport Blvd., in Sugar Land.

As previously announced, ceremonies for the Denton and Dallas ceremonies will take place at Texas Motor Speedway in Fort Worth.

Updates on all ceremonies, as well as information for graduates and guests, will be posted on the Commencement 2020 website as they becomes available.
