The Pioneer Center for Student Excellence and the Graduate School at Texas Woman’s University have announced the winners of the 2023 Virtual 3MT Competition:
- 1st Place — Miteshri Prajapati, "Effectiveness of a YouTube-delivered nutrition education program among parents of children with autism and weight issues," College of Health Sciences advisor/major professor: Kathleen Davis, PhD. Prajapati will receive $750 and an opportunity to compete at the Conference of Southern Graduate Schools, scheduled March 13-15, 2024 in Greenville, S.C.
- 2nd Place — Megan Chiu, "Asian and Asian American Music Therapists’ Experiences with Racism, Discrimination, Xenophobia, and Microaggressions: A Convergent Parallel Mixed Methods Study," College of Arts & Sciences advisor/major professor: Rebecca West, PhD. Chiu will receive $500.
- 3rd Place — Mafia Mahabub Rumpa, "A native plant candidate for drug development against breast cancer," College of Arts & Sciences advisor/major professor: Camelia Maier, PhD. The third-place award is $250.
- People’s Choice Award — Krysten Collins, "Reliability of Eyewitness Identification in Criminal Investigations," College of Arts & Sciences advisor/major professor: James Williams, PhD.
