Open Educational Resources (OER) Course Redesign mini-grants in the amount of $1,000 (less withholding) are available to develop, adopt or adapt OER for your courses.
For those interested in transitioning course(s) to free learning materials but need support, consider one of these mini-grants. OER are free teaching materials intended to be widely distributed and modified to fit the needs of instructors. Examples of OER used by TWU faculty include textbooks, Canvas modules, lab manuals, workbooks, and slide decks.
OER are commonly used as alternatives to expensive textbooks by providing students with high-quality course readings at no cost. If interested, read more information about mini-grants at Open Educational Resources at TWU. Submit your application by September 30, 2024. There are a limited number of mini-grants available therefore we highly recommend applying before the September 30, 2024 deadline.
