The new Bezos Academy will launch in fall 2026 and applications for the 2026-27 school year will be accepted beginning Jan. 27. Applications must be submitted by April 20. The tuition-free, Montessori-style child-care center is open to families earning up to four times the federal poverty limit, about $111,000 for a family of four. Twenty-four of the openings are held for children of TWU-Denton’s faculty, staff and students, and qualified local families can apply to an enrollment lottery to fill remaining slots. Children must be 3 or 4 years old by Sept. 1 of this year to be eligible for consideration.
