TWU Housing and Dining and Student Union and Conference Services request volunteers for move-in week and Block Party.
Move-in Volunteer Sign-up
Housing & Dining needs volunteers for various residential locations Tuesday, Aug. 20 and Wednesday, Aug. 21.
There are two-hour shifts listed by time, then location for both days. New this year are volunteer slots for Stark Hall available both days. Due to such a large first-year class, some first-year students will move into Stark. Extra volunteer slots are an effort to help first-year students move in quickly in order to fully participate in Pioneer Camp.
Sign up for as many shifts as you would like and receive a free volunteer t-shirt and swag. Volunteers will receive important information regarding their responsibilities via email the week prior to volunteering.
Block Party Volunteers Sign-up
The annual Block Party tradition continues this year on Friday, Aug. 23 from 6-8 p.m. in the TWU Gardens.
To make this event a success, volunteers are needed. All volunteers will receive a food wristband to use at the event as well as a Block Party themed shirt.
To thank volunteers for their hard work and dedication to make move-in and the beginning of the fall semester a special time for TWU students, Housing & Dining and the Student Union will provide a Thanksgiving-style meal in September. Both departments truly appreciate all of the support from volunteers for a successful beginning to the fall semester.
For any questions regarding move-in volunteers, contact Administrative Services Coordinator Alison Ventura (aventura1@twu.edu, 940-898-3468). Regarding the Block Party, contact Student Union Director Mara Jackson (mjackson46@twu.edu, 940-898-3623).
