Mobile Food Pantry scheduled April 21

A Mobile Food Pantry will take place 11 a.m.-1 p.m., Wednesday, April 21 in the Jones Hall East parking lot on the Denton campus. (See map below.) The mobile food truck is open to students, faculty, staff and community members. Masks are required.

SNAP benefits also will be on site from 11 a.m. to noon to assist with completing your application for food benefits. To apply for SNAP, bring:

  • ID (Student, state or residency ID are acceptable)
  • Proof of address
  • Proof of income (if any)
  • Work Study eligibility (if applicable)

Plan to be there early if you would like to apply for SNAP.

TWU CARE (Campus Alliance for Resource Education) partners with the Tarrant Area Food Bank to help address food insecurity issues by bringing the mobile food truck to the Denton campus in the fall and spring semesters. The food bank follows the USDA’s guidelines for eligibility but will not turn an individual away who is in need. You’re encouraged to bring your own bags, but plastic grocery sacks will be available if needed.
