Make a video for Fall Leadership Conference

The Center for Student Development needs video presentations on topics related to leadership, team development, diversity and inclusion, social justice, and organizational effectiveness for this year’s Fall Leadership Conference.

The conference will take place online Oct. 5-9 via video releases. Students will RSVP through Pioneer Engage to receive the links to that day’s video sessions via email. The videos then will be posted on a web page created for the event the following day for anyone to see.

The center will host one live virtual presentation Monday, Oct. 5, as a kickoff for the event. If you are available and would like to be considered for that slot, you can indicate your interest on the application form.

Conference organizers also hope to create a track or a set of videos specifically geared toward first-year students. If you would like your video to be part of that track, select only first-year students as your audience on the application form.

Videos must be a maximum of 10 minutes in length — think short, TedTalk-style videos.

If you want to record a short video for this year’s program, complete the application before 5 p.m., Monday, Aug. 31. Creators of programs that have been selected for the conference will be notified by Sept. 4, and video recordings will be due by Sept. 25.
