Faculty/staff invited to serve as Student Organization Advisor

TWU faculty & staff members are invited to become an advisor to one of TWU's many student organizations.

TWU has more than 140 student organizations on the Denton campus and is seeing record numbers of new organization requests each semester. Often the biggest challenge for an organization or potential organization is obtaining a faculty or staff member who will volunteer to serve as an advisor. Advisors serve as mentors, guides, and connectors—helping student leaders navigate university policies, plan events, resolve challenges, and grow personally and professionally. Whether you’re experienced in student involvement or simply passionate about supporting students, your involvement matters.

Each registered student organization is required to have at least one full-time faculty or staff student organization advisor, and a list is being built of those interested in getting involved.

To sign up, complete the Student Organization Advisor Interest Form to get started.

Additional information about Student Organization Advisors can be found here. For additional questions, contact the Center for Student Involvement at getinvolved@twu.edu.
