. Headshots will be taken 1-5 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 18; 9 a.m.-1 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 19; 1-5 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 29; and 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 30. All sessions will take place on ACT 2. No appointment is necessary.

Faculty 40 Plus
! This meal plan includes 40 meal swipes that can be used in the dining hall and 150 dining dollars that can be used at the various retail locations on campus (Chick Fil A, Which Wich, Peet’s Coffee, Starbucks, The Market, Oakland CafĂ©, Burger 940, The Green Table and Tu Taco). The Faculty 40 Plus plan is the only meal plan that’s payroll deductible.

Registration is now open for the
TWU Community Music Center
, offering classes and private lessons for children, teens and adults. All classes and lessons meet once a week for 12 weeks beginning Monday, Sept. 9. TWU faculty and staff may be particularly interested in an adult group piano class that meets 12:15-1:30 p.m. Fridays. This class counts toward TWU’s Workplace Wellness Program; with supervisor approval, staff may add 30 minutes to their lunch breaks in order to attend.

, a literary discussion group, returns 7 p.m. Monday, Sept. 9, with “Writing Short Stories for Publication,” presented by John Tait, University of North Texas. The session takes place at the

Jacob Blosser
(history & political science) has been appointed by the Texas Higher Educating Coordinating Board to a three-year term on the Undergraduate Education Advisory Committee (UEAC). This 23- member committee provides a statewide forum for the development of ideas and policies impacting undergraduate education throughout Texas. Blosser comes to UEAC having most recently served as co-chair of the Texas Education Coordinating Board’s History Field of Study Advisory Committee. Blosser also serves as vice president and president-elect of the nation’s 400,000-member history honor society, Phi Alpha Theta.
