  • Teaching & Learning with Technology and the Center for Faculty Excellence will host a “Goodbye Party” for Aubree Evans and Amanda Hinson-Enslin 2-3 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 1, in Stoddard Hall room 402. The TWU community is invited to attend.
  • A MY1CV  Open Session is scheduled 10 a.m. to noon, Tuesday, Aug. 6, in Stoddard Hall room 307. Registration is available for the session, which will provide support to faculty and staff for their online profiles and the use of the Sedona System for annual activity tracking and CV data. Bring an electronic CV or résumé to work on updating your system entries for the quarter.

  • The coffee shop in MCL is now officially Peet’s Coffee. The shop is set for a soft opening 8 a.m.-noon, Monday, Aug. 19, with regular hours beginning Monday, Aug. 26. Oakland Café, located in the Oakland Complex, will be closed on weekends Aug. 3-24. Check the Dining Services webpage for updated schedules coming soon for all on-campus dining options.
  • Denton occupational therapy faculty member Suzanne Burns, along with Dallas occupational therapy faculty Asha Vas, Noralyn Pickens and Marsha Neville, published a paper: “Development, Reliability, and Validity of the Multiple Errands Test Home Version (MET–Home) in Adults With Stroke” in the American Journal of Occupational Therapy.   • Shell Peterson (visual arts) will have her work on exhibit Aug. 2-Sept. 2 at the Grey Fox Mercantile in New Hartford, New York.
  • Nancy Bocskor (Center for Women in Politics and Public Policy) has joined the board of the Public Leadership Education Network, the only national organization with the sole focus of preparing college women for leadership in the public policy arena.
