  • Janelle Davis (health promotion and kinesiology) recently was awarded the Certificate of Merit for Excellence in Advising - Advisor Primary Role at the National Association for College Academic Advising (NACADA) Region 7 conference in San Antonio on March 9.
  • Looking for a quick bite on campus? The Broad StrEAT Station food truck will visit campus Mondays through Wednesdays 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. and 4:30-7 p.m.. Look for it in front of the Student Union. Dining dollars, cash and credit are accepted.
  • Save the date for ArtsWalk: Learning the Land, 5:15-8 p.m., Thursday, April 4. Interact with works by artist and designer Molly Sherman and explore sites on TWU’s Denton campus and surrounding areas. This event is free, appropriate for all ages and open to the public.
  • Jason Lambert (business) presented "Avoid Diversity Myths to Avoid Diversity Failures" at the 2019 South by Southwest Festival and Conference on Sunday, March 10, in Austin. Lambert joined Joy Leopold of Webster University in discussing best practices organizations can use to effectively manage diversity programs.
  • As part of an initiative to support bicycle commuters, the Blagg-Huey Library now provides secure, weatherproof parking for employee bicycles. Located in the loading dock, the bike rack, which can hold up to eight bikes, is accessible to the building's employees via swipe access.
  • On March 14-15, the Center for Faculty Excellence sponsored attendance of the following faculty to the Transformative Learning Conference: Erika Armstrong (communications sciences & oral health), Kathy Brown (visual arts), Michael Raisinghani (business), David Rylander (business) and Jennifer Wilson (nursing).
  • On March 15, Aubree Evans (Center for Faculty Excellence) presented a session titled "Empowering Students with the STAR Symposium" at the Transformative Learning Conference in Oklahoma City.
