Cultural TALKS to focus on imposter syndrome

Shannon Scott (College of Arts and Sciences) will moderate a panel consisting of Aimee Myers (teacher education) and three graduate students at Cultural TALKS: First-Generation Graduate Student Panel – Imposter Syndrome, scheduled 4-5:30 p.m., Tuesday, March 3, in ACT 301. It also will be available via livestream.

The panel discussion will focus on the imposter syndrome and the ways in which it uniquely impacts first-generation graduate students. It is intended to reduce the sense of isolation this phenomenon can cause and highlight strategies for coping. The program is sponsored by the TWU Graduate Student Council, #TWUBelong and the Office of Diversity, Inclusion, & Outreach.

Cultural TALKS (Trends & Trainings, Awareness, Language, Knowledge, Social Justice) are intended to create spaces where diversity issues can be explored and discussed openly and safely.
