Denton City Council proclaims 'TWU Gymnastics National Champions Day'

The Denton City Council proclaimed Tuesday, July 17 as "TWU Gymnastics National Champions Day" during its regular meeting in the Denton City Hall. Several gymnasts and members of the coaching staff were on hand to accept the honor. The Pioneers won their 11th USA Gymnastics Collegiate national title on April 14, a back-to-back win for the 2017 champions. The team received official recognition from the TWU Board of Regents in May and the Denton County Commissioners Court in June.
