Beginning May 12, an update will take effect regarding university email forwarding services.
Automatic forwarding of new university email accounts to Google (Gmail) will no longer be available. This change applies only to new accounts created on or after May 12 and does not impact existing accounts that are already forwarding to TWU Gmail.
All university email will continue to be fully accessible through Microsoft 365, where users can manage email, calendar, and other Microsoft 365 tools.
For those who prefer to view university email in TWU Gmail, manual forwarding can be set up through Microsoft 365 using the steps below:
Forward Microsoft 365 Email to TWU Gmail (<userID>@gapps.twu.edu)
- Go to https://outlook.office.com
- Sign in with your TWU email address and password
- Select the gear icon (Settings) in the upper-right corner
- Select Mail, then Forwarding
- Check Enable forwarding
- Enter: <userID>@gapps.twu.edu in the forwarding address field
- (Recommended) Select Keep a copy of forwarded messages in your inbox to receive mail in both Outlook and Gmail
- Click Save
- A test email is recommended to confirm forwarding is working as expected.
