University authentication updates for Panopto and Oracle Cloud

Updates have been completed to improve and standardize sign in access for Panopto and Oracle Cloud.

Panopto Sign-In Update

To simplify access to Panopto, a new “Azure” (Microsoft) sign-in option is now available for both Panopto and the Panopto Recorder. Users should begin using this option moving forward.

What you need to know:

  • Accessing Panopto through Canvas: No action is required. You will not be prompted to sign in again, as Canvas already uses Microsoft (Azure) authentication.
  • Using the Panopto Recorder directly: You will be directed to the Panopto login page. Select the “Azure” option and sign in using your TWU email and password.

Oracle Cloud Authentication Update

Oracle Cloud transitioned sign in from Google Single Sign-on to Microsoft Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) on April 16, 2026. Most users already use Microsoft MFA to access tools such as Outlook, Teams, and OneDrive. The same authentication method will now be used for Oracle Cloud. Please ensure Microsoft MFA is enabled on your account.
