Texas Woman’s University is required to report employee completion of information security training to the Texas Department of Information Resources each year by August 31. Your participation is essential to ensure the university remains compliant with state requirements.
All employees are required to complete annual information security training in accordance with Texas Government Code §2054.5191. This requirement also applies to contractors and is further reinforced by TWU URP 04.725: Information Security and Privacy Awareness and Training.
If you are required to complete the training:
- Your course will be automatically assigned in Bridge
- Email reminders will be sent to both you and your supervisor if your training becomes overdue.
Supervisors play a key role and are expected to ensure their team members complete this annual requirement on time.
This training is designed to help you:
- Recognize phishing and social engineering attacks
- Protect sensitive university data
- Reduce the risk of cybersecurity incidents
Cyber threats continue to evolve, and your awareness is one of the university’s strongest defenses.
Completing your training early helps:
- Reduce compliance risks
- Strengthen the overall security posture of the university
If you have been assigned training in Bridge, please complete it promptly.
Your participation helps protect the data and systems that support the entire TWU community. We appreciate your commitment to completing your training on time and supporting the university’s commitment to information security.
