Do you have old TWU-provided printers, keyboards or other non-tagged assets taking up space in your department? IT Solutions (ITS) and Facilities Management & Construction (FMC) have a way for faculty and staff on the Denton campus to conveniently and securely recycle those broken or outdated items. Proper destruction of storage devices and electronics is key to keeping TWU cyber secure.
ITS and FMC will host Computer Crusher, an electronic waste (e-waste) recycler, to collect TWU non-tagged assets on Oct. 25. This event is for faculty and staff who work with TWU equipment.
This event is for TWU non-tagged assets/equipment only. Non-tagged assets include:
- Media storage such as flash drives, hard drives or tapes
- Keyboards, mice, and other peripherals
- Audio/visual equipment
TWU-owned tagged assets (assets that have a maroon and white sticker with a tag number) will not be accepted since they must go through the surplus process before recycling. If your department has TWU-tagged computers/assets ready for sanitation, contact the ITS Service Desk at firstname.lastname@example.org.
