Cybersecurity Awareness Month is upon us

October is Cybersecurity Awareness Month, a global effort to help everyone stay safe and protected when using technology. This year, the theme is “It’s easy to stay safe online” and Texas Woman’s University is proud to be a champion and support this online safety and education initiative.

Throughout the month of October, IT Solutions will host events and activities, including competitive opportunities with prizes such as Apple AirPods, Apple Air Tag, and Dining Dollars. Events include:

Six Words - What Does Cybersecurity Mean to You?
Ends October 14 | Virtual event | Presented by TWU Information Security

TWU Information Security wants to know what you think about cybersecurity in six words or less. Responses from the campaign may be featured on a new webpage, Cybersecurity in Six Words Wall, as well as social media throughout the year. ITS hopes responses from this year’s campaign will open up conversations, raise awareness, and help all understand how to better secure our digital lives.

How it works:

  • Think about the question: “What does cybersecurity mean to you?”
  • Share thoughts and perspective by completing the Six Words form.
  • Selected responses will be posted to the Cybersecurity in Six Words Wall and on social media.
  • Three participants will be randomly drawn to win prizes.

Fill out your six words.

TWU Asset E-waste Recycling
