If you’re looking for a way to get more involved at Texas Woman’s or to meet more of your colleagues, consider serving on Staff Council.
The Texas Woman’s University Staff Council serves as a representative advisory council to express staff interests, concerns, and issues to university leadership. Its goal is to promote a positive and collaborative work environment across all three TWU campuses. Within Staff Council, members have the opportunity to:
- Work together on committees
- Learn what is happening in various departments and units
- Hear from university leadership
- Discuss concerns that impact employees’ work lives
Staff Council representatives serve a term of three years. Meetings are held 10-11:30 a.m. on the second Thursday of each month via Zoom. All TWU staff are welcome to attend these meetings.
Complete the 2022-2025 Staff Council Nominations form to nominate yourself or a colleague for a Staff Council seat. Nominations will be accepted through Monday, June 13. Voting will take place June 13-20, providing there are more than eight nominees. Representatives will be installed and assume duty on July 14.
Still not sure, or want to learn more? Attend the next Staff Council meeting, scheduled for 10 a.m., Thursday, June 9. Look for the “Join the monthly meeting” link on the Staff Council page. Contact Carolina Sheeder at csheeder@twu.edu if you have questions or concerns.
