Staff Council seeks nominations

The TWU Staff Council Membership and Elections Committee has put out a call for nominations to serve on the Staff Council at TWU. Visit the Staff Council Nomination Form to submit your nomination today!

Texas Woman’s University Staff Council is an organization committed to collaboration and unification across all three of our campuses and community. The council strives to foster a spirit of belonging and serve as a representative advisory council to express staff interests, concerns, and issues to university leadership. Within Staff Council, members have the opportunity to work together on committees, learn what is happening in various departments and units, hear from university leadership, and discuss concerns that impact our work lives.

Membership on the Staff Council is extended to staff members who are:

  • At least 50% Full Time Equivalent
  • Have 6 months of employment in a staff position
  • Currently hold a position below the level of executive director, registrar or controller
  • Are not represented by Faculty Senate

Nominations will be accepted through Monday, May 24. Voting will be conducted June 7-18.

Staff Council representatives serve a term of three years. Meetings are held through Zoom, 10-11:30 a.m., on the second Thursday of each month. All TWU staff are welcome to attend these meetings.

Supervisors are highly encouraged to nominate your employee(s) to serve on Staff Council. It is a tremendous professional development opportunity and offers a unique and valuable experience to grow within the university system.
