Joanna Sissons, a graduate student in the TWU Department of Nutrition and Food Sciences, is seeking volunteers for her thesis project involving the enhancement of meat flavor and meat flavor perception. (Meat flavor only; no meat products will be used or consumed.)
Participants will be asked to taste eight heated broth samples in a sensory lab and answer a series of questions about each sample. The study can be completed in 30 to 45 minutes, and each participant will receive $5 cash compensation. Volunteers must be at least 18 years of age.
The evaluation will take place Oct. 12-15 in Woodcock Hall room 113 on the TWU Denton campus. In compliance with COVID-19 guidelines, the researcher(s) will be required to wear facemasks and gloves while conducting the study. Rooms will be limited to 25% capacity to maintain a minimum of 6 feet distance between occupants. Participants will be required to wear a facemask; one will be provided if needed.
