Volunteers needed for PCOS study

Volunteers are needed for a Polycystic Ovary Syndrome research study. The study will examine the metabolic and reproductive response to whey protein/carbohydrate supplementation on hormones in women with and without polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS). The study is open to TWU and non-TWU individuals.

Volunteers should be:

  • Women with or without polycystic ovary syndrome (Or if you have excess body hair growth and irregular menses)
  • Age 18-45
  • Minimally exercising (fewer than 30 minutes per day and fewer than three days per week)
  • No other known metabolic disorders or protein allergies
  • Not pregnant or not lactating

Intervention will include consumption of a dietary supplement for up to 60 days. Blood draws are required for analyses.

Benefits of the study include a free bone scan and body composition analysis and up to $60 compensation upon completion of the study.

Researchers will comply with COVID-19 guidelines throughout the study.
