The department of Nutrition and Food Sciences is conducting a study to test the effect of food supplementation on hormones in women with or without Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS). This study is open to TWU and non-TWU individuals. Study site: TWU Denton campus.
Who:
- Women with and without Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) or if you have excess body hair growth and irregular menses
- Age 18- 45 yr
- Minimally exercising (i.e., < 30 min/day, < 3 days /week)
- No other known metabolic disorders or protein allergies
- Not pregnant or not lactating
Intervention:
- Supplementation for up to 60 days
- Blood draws required for analyses
