TWU Family Project study seeking children, parents

Do you have a family member or neighbor who just completed fifth grade? The TWU Family Project research team would like to talk with them about the ups and downs of friends, families, bullying and relationships.

The study is designed specifically for students who have recently finished fifth grade and their parents. The team is looking at the influence parents have on their children’s friendships and relationships, including responses to bullying.

Participation by both parent and child is completely voluntary, and each participant is reimbursed $40 for their time and efforts. One parent/guardian must participate with each child. The interview takes approximately 90-120 minutes, and interviews are available in-person on campus or through Zoom. Interviews in English and Spanish are available.

Sign up at TWU Family Project if interested. Researchers will contact you to schedule a convenient interview time. Email the team at or call 940-898-2328 if you have questions.
