Application materials are available for the 2020-2021 Creative Arts and Humanities Grants Program and the Research Enhancement Program fall competition. Proposals for both programs are due by Thursday, Oct. 22.
The Creative Arts and Humanities Grants Program supports TWU faculty projects in areas that ordinarily have limited opportunity to receive external grant funding, yet have the potential to enhance both scholarship and TWU’s national and international profile. Up to $5,000 may be requested to support these projects, and all full-time tenured and tenure-track faculty may apply.
The primary purpose of the Research Enhancement Program (REP) is to provide seed money (up to $10,000) so that faculty members will be able to compete more successfully for larger research grants from external sources for continuation of their research. The REP provides support for all types of faculty research. All full-time tenured faculty, research faculty and tenure-track faculty members at TWU are eligible to apply and serve as PI and co-investigators. Tenured and research faculty will be evaluated separately from tenure-track faculty who are not yet tenured, with funds being designated separately for each group.
Budget assistance and proposal preparation for both programs is available through the Office of Research and Sponsored Programs by contacting Tracy Lindsay or Madhura Maiya. To receive assistance from the Center for Research Design and Analysis, email CRDA@twu.edu. In order to review the research design before the deadline, the CRDA must receive the draft of the narrative at least two weeks prior to the deadline.
Complete program guidelines for both the Creative Arts and Humanities Grants Program and the Research Enhancement Program are available on the Office of Research and Sponsored Programs website.
