Health Promotion and Kinesiology faculty Ann Amuta, PhD, and Joshua Gold, PhD, were awarded $200,000 in funding by the National Institutes of Health RADx-UP funding mechanism for a study aimed at understanding and mitigating COVID-19 health disparities.
The study, which begins June 1, also will test a randomized controlled trial intervention that aims to improve the reach, uptake, and sustainability of COVID-19 home-based testing among African immigrants in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
