We’ve rung in a new year and a new look for Inside TWU Online.

The new look is in response to feedback from a readership survey. We’ve added more photos and features, and have made things easier to find.

Let’s start at the top:

• Click on “Featured” for quick access to all the feature stories in the current issue and in issues past. Hover over the “People” link and you’ll get a drop-down menu with links to “Profiles” of faculty and staff members, “People in the news,” and “Publications” and “Presentations” made by TWU faculty and staff. The Publications and Presentations sections are new; these items previously were included in the campus sections, so the content is a bit skimpy now. We don’t expect that to last long.
•  The “Campuses” link takes you to a drop-down menu for quick access to Denton, Dallas, Houston, and University-Wide news. Under “More,” you’ll find links to information on Technology, Emergency Preparedness, and Human Resources, as well a “New Hires” link under which information on employees hired each month will be published.

The sections also should be easier to find within the website itself. Three or four stories will be listed under each category, but you can always click on “More” (at the top right of that section) for a full list.

You wanted more photos, and this new site has them. In the “People in the News” section, the logo is used when two or more people are mentioned or no head shot was available. (Photos used on faculty/staff pages are too small.) All photos submitted for Inside TWU should be at least 600x400 pixels.

What else is new? The website now is updated as news is submitted rather than once a week, so check back regularly.
