Texas Woman’s University is celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month (Sept. 15-Oct. 15) with a special website and a host of activities recognizing the contributions, heritage and culture of Hispanic individuals and communities.
The website features stories of TWU faculty, staff and alumni who have overcome challenges and self-doubt to make their mark in their chosen fields. Additional stories will be posted during the monthlong celebration. The website also includes a look back at featured stories from last year.
See the Featured Events section on the website for special activities during the month, including Pachanga, a celebration of music, performances, and community building, from 5-7 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 15. A children’s storytine and a series of speakers also are part of the celebration.
