Virtual Fall Assembly to kick off Welcome Week

“Embracing the Times” is the focus of the Fall Assembly, which kicks off Welcome Week at Texas Woman’s University. Reflective of current times, the event will take place online.

The assembly takes place at 10 a.m., Monday, Aug. 17, via Zoom. TWU administrators and leaders from the Faculty Senate, Staff Council and SECC Charitable Campaign Committee will provide a look ahead to the 2020-21 academic year. Faculty and staff are invited to attend. Registration is required.

Other highlights include:

  • Noon, Aug. 17 — Faculty Development Panel, “Culturally Responsive Teaching: Five Faculty Share Their Experiences.” The panel discussion will focus on implementing culturally responsive teaching in a variety of fields. Open to faculty and staff.
  • Aug. 18 — Department, school and college meetings. Various times.
  • 10 a.m., Aug. 19 — New Faculty Orientation
  • 1 p.m., Aug. 19 — New Faculty Human Resources Presentation
  • 9 a.m., Aug. 20 — Teaching and Learning Virtual Symposium
