Texas Woman’s University will officially break ground on its new residential village in a ceremony beginning at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 17 near the tennis courts. The brief ceremony will include remarks from Chancellor Carine M. Feyten; Board of Regents Chair and Presiding Officer Nolan E. Perez; Vice President of Student Life Monica Mendez-Grant; Jill Eckardt, director of university housing and residence life; and Katheryn Besadesky, Residence Hall Association president.
Opening in Fall 2019, the sophomore village will house 872 students in three 4- and 5-story Georgian buildings. The project will incorporate residential amenities such as lounge spaces, study areas and community gathering places focused on the sophomore experience. The project also includes the addition of approximately 30,000 square feet of residential dining space to serve all of TWU's on-campus and commuter student population. Read more>>
