U.S. News again ranks TWU among nation’s best for social mobility

U.S. News & World Report has again recognized Texas Woman’s among the nation’s best for social mobility, and included TWU on the publication’s “Best National University” and “Top Public Schools” lists.

Additionally, U.S. News recognized Texas Woman’s bachelor of nursing program as tied for the state’s third best (and 54th nationally), while also listing the university’s business and psychology programs on the index of top national programs.

The publication also ranked Texas Woman’s sixth ― and tied for first in Texas among public universities ― for ethnic diversity, continuing TWU’s years-long run of being ranked in the top ten nationally in that category.

The social mobility ranking considers an institution’s ability to enroll and graduate large proportions of disadvantaged students awarded Pell Grants as well as the graduation rates of first-generation students.
