Denton commencement rehearsal for faculty/staff
Faculty and staff who have a commencement role (banner bearers, stage marshals, faculty marshals, student marshals, etc.) are invited to the Denton commencement rehearsal at 2 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 15, in the Kitty Magee Arena in Pioneer Hall. Training will be available for all roles.
Any hooding faculty members who need to familiarize themselves with hooding – or need a hooding refresher – are invited to attend as well.
If you’d like to serve as a banner bearer, marshal, or volunteer, contact Nora Sierra at nsierra@twu.edu.
Parking changes for Denton commencement
Parking rules and regulations change during commencement to allow more space for graduates and their families.
TWU faculty and staff are asked to park on the south side of campus, including in the parking garage, Friday, Dec. 16, and Saturday, Dec. 17, to allow visitors to park closer to Pioneer Hall. Temporary garage permits will not be required and decal parking will not be enforced on those two days.
The Denton commencement parking map shows the university’s plan for parking during commencement. Lots designated for commencement are shown in gold, with faculty/staff parking in purple. Note that Bell Avenue in front of Pioneer Hall will be closed to vehicular traffic those two days.
