Former departments of Teacher Education and Literacy & Learning from the College of Professional Education are now combined to form the School of Education, led by Director Juan Araujo, PhD.

Within the School of Education, there are five newly formed divisions:

• Early Childhood Education led by Division Head Sharla Snider, PhD
• Educational Leadership led by Division Head Amanda Hurlbut, PhD
• Literacy and Language led by Division Co-Heads Amy Burke, PhD, and Aimée Myers, PhD
• Special Education led by Division Head Randa Keeley, PhD
• Teacher Education led by Division Head Becky Fredrickson, EdD

 
Another change within the College of Professional Education is the transition of the former department of Human Development, Family Studies and Counseling to what is now the School of Human Sciences, led by Interim Director Aaron Norton, PhD, and can be found at twu.edu/human-sciences.
