Texas Woman’s University will launch a tuition assistance pilot program this fall for full-time employees and their dependents. Eligible participants will pay only direct program expenses, such as statutory tuition, differential tuition (if any), program fees and lab fees.
The pilot program will replace the TWU Pioneer Assistance Scholarship program that awarded semester scholarships of $500 to as many as 40 individuals annually.
In an email announcement to the campus community, Chancellor Carine Feyten noted that approval for the program’s full implementation will be sought from the TWU Board of Regents at its August meeting.
The pilot program is open to full-time faculty and staff and their dependents. Employees may take classes for up to six credit hours per semester; there is no credit hour limit per semester for dependents.
To take advantage of the pilot program, complete Apply Texas before the Aug. 14 deadline. Your initial tuition bill may include all charges, but don’t panic — the bursar will adjust the bills after the census date in mid-September.
